On 16th September, Old Hertfordians who first walked up the long drive to begin their School career in September 1953 returned to the School for a special year reunion.
The class of ’53 gathered at a reception in the School library where, following a formal welcome from the Richard Hale Association President, the Rt. Rev John Gladwin, the Headmaster addressed the 47 attendees to explain the growth and improvements that had occurred at the School over the years.
For many Old Hertfordians, it was the first time that they had returned to the School since the late 1950s. They were shown around the School by present day sixth formers.
The reunion, organized by the Richard Hale Association, continued well into the afternoon with lunch at Hertford Rugby Club.
If you would like to register interest to organize a year-group reunion, please contact the School’s Development Officer, Sarah Kitt, (sarah.kitt @ richardhale.co.uk) at first instance.
