How to apply for a place at Richard Hale School
TRANSFER AT YEAR 7
To apply for a place parents must complete the HCC Secondary Transfer Form since the School participates in the Local Authority Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme. For full details please refer to the current Richard Hale School Admission Policy on this website.
Continued Interest: if a boy is not offered a place at Richard Hale School his name will automatically be placed on the Continued Interest List for Richard Hale if the school was ranked higher in his application than the school allocated. Parents need to contact the Local Authority to register their wish to join the Continued Interest List in the second round if this does not apply to the application.
Appeals: if a boy is not offered a place at this school his parents have the right to appeal to an Independent Appeal Panel. Details can be obtained by contacting the Admissions Officer at the school. Parents wishing to appeal who applied on line should log into their online application and click on the link ‘register an appeal ‘. Those who did not apply on line should contact the school.
IN YEAR ADMISSIONS
The school participates in County Council’s coordinated In Year Admissions Scheme. Application forms can be accessed via www.hertsdirect.org/admissions or from the HCC Customer Service Centre. Application forms should be returned directly to the County Council (address on the form).
